if there’s a place i’d rather die than be it’s anywhere with you or anywhere with me i scream like a child but it’s not that bad you know dreaming was a lonely art but now we move for show when they don’t care to learn your name it’s not how much you know it’s the quality that makes the mind and this mind is quality
2.
she’d be on the couch tonight, if we had a couch i’m locked away in a dark and lonely room for you your shirt fell behind the bed, it smells like mold

drug rug 03:18
every word i’ve never wrote is stuck in time and today i’ve left alone and every friend is just a phone right now life keeps you cold when every night you’re doing time south africa’s alright for rape and homicide it’s hard looking back this year it’s hard keeping touch when everything you love is not real and life’s a drag when i know you feel for them but don’t close your eyes jesus didn’t die for me and he doesn’t give a fuck about you i don’t want to lose you just sit around and watch us die because i’m never gonna let you out of here
4.
my best face 02:45
i reach for lines in trees, sometimes I sleep for days just wake me up and we’ll work something out i’ll paint these walls for free, my mind will run all night just think of me when you’re clean and everything’s straight i smashed the bugs inside to let some new friends crawl and still can’t believe what my head called a home you had me at naive but you don’t get a thing and where were you on my birthday, baby? i’ll keep you safe if you keep me safe your world is free and best friends we’ll always be
5.
it crawls like a slug in a garden of salt it used to live on my head life wasn’t so heavy then won’t you lend me a hand and sit on my neck because i could sure use the break and maybe a broken spine we’re digging a hole and every day’s a new low i live for leaving behind and diet steady on piss and fleas i gave away my best friend because i can’t love myself it’s a nervous tic i can’t shake i hope you understand it’s hard being the most intelligent, depressed person you know it’s also a long and lonely fall to the floor of a well sucked dry when life slows down i’ll think of you biting my ear when life slows down i’ll think of you but i wasn’t long for here

about

booking a tour is a miserable experience when nobody knows who you are, luckily we had a little help from our friends. we played a show with 'off with their heads' on new years eve in 2009 and became buds. they took us out on a few tours and introduced us to some really cool people which was a huge help. somewhere along the way we met brian and glenn from kiss of death records. they were super cool dudes and i was a fan of the label so this was a pretty cool development. i heard j mascis talking about how when dinosaur first started their goal was to put out a record on SST, i always kind of related that to how i felt about doing a record with KOD. every time we were in florida they would hang with us and take us out for tacos. i used to love visiting the kiss of death warehouse and sifting through the records and shirts. brian and glenn would let us take anything we wanted which was super cool because they put out so many sick records. i'll always remember how stoked i was to find a copy of the serious geniuses LP and how glenn's house always felt like home. i miss glenn's dogs, hanging with his mom, and smoking weed while digging through his incredible record collection.
